Model independency and three-particle systems Original Research Article

We consider systems made of three particles interacting with a short distance potential with a real or virtual two-particle bound state close to threshold, as found in the three-nucleon and in atomic systems. We discuss how to obtain model independent predictions using Effective Theory methods and exemplify the method by presenting results of calculations of the neutron-deuteron elastic scattering up to third order.
