Abstract :
The collinear laser beam line at ISAC is producing a range of highly polarized Li and Na isotopes with high beam transmission efficiency. Using a Ta production target, a 8Li rate of more than 108 atoms s−1 with 60% polarization at the user experiment is typical. The beam line is also used for laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy on heavy ions and atoms. A preliminary scheme for polarizing 20F is presented.
