Hypernuclear ΛΛ production by image reactions and the ΛΛ–Ξ mixing in hypernuclei

We theoretically study production of a ΛΛ hypernucleus image in a image reaction on an 16O target at image, within a distorted-wave impulse approximation. The calculated spectrum provides promising peaks of the ΛΛ bound and excited states of image in a one-step mechanism image via image doorways caused by a image coupling, rather than in a two-step mechanism as image followed by image. The cross sections and image admixture probabilities are discussed in terms of the ΞN–ΛΛ coupling in the nucleus.
