Abstract
In-medium image scattering amplitudes developed within a chirally motivated coupled-channel model are used to construct image nuclear potentials for calculations of image nuclear quasi-bound states. Self-consistent evaluations yield image potential depths image of order 100 MeV. Dynamical polarization effects and two-nucleon image absorption modes are discussed. The widths image of all image nuclear quasi-bound states are comparable or even larger than the corresponding binding energies image, exceeding considerably the energy level spacing.
