Abstract :
The asymmetric nuclear matter equation of state is calculated at finite temperature in the frame work of the lowest order constraint variational (LOCV) method by using the new charge-dependent Reid potential (Reid93). The results are presented for the wide range of densities and proton to neutron ratios (R) as well as nuclear temperatures, which are very interested these days in the heavy ion collisions and astrophysics. The free energy, pressure and other thermodynamic quantities of asymmetric nuclear matter are obtained and discussed. The critical behavior of system such as the liquid–gas phase transitions and its dependence on temperature and proton to neutron ratio are analyzed in details. Finally the results are compared with the others many-body calculations.
