Abstract
Toward the application of a two-scale analysis method for nonlinear heterogeneous solids with periodic microstructures, we make a feasibility study and introduce a parallel algorithm to achieve the computational efficiency. For the feasibility, we focus our attention to the inhomogeneous deformation of the overall structure, which may imply the loss of periodicity assumed in the initial state. For parallel computations, we present an efficient algorithm for the deconcentration of computational loads by using a PC-cluster system. A simple numerical example for a three-dimensional heterogeneous body will suggest the applicability of the two-scale analysis method to practical problems.
