Abstract
A new plasticized polymer electrolyte composed of a blend of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC), and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), DBP as a plasticizer and LiAsF6 as a salt is described. The formation of polymer-salt complex has been confirmed by XRD and FTIR spectral studies. The effect of the PVC/PMMA blend ratio on ionic conductivity is explained in terms of the morphology of the film. The temperature dependence of the conductivity of the polymer films obeys the Vogel–Tamman–Fulcher (VTF) relationship. Values of conductivities of the polymer electrolyte for various compositions are presented and discussed.
