The variety of modular basic algebras generated by MV-chains and horizontal sums of three-element chain basic algebras

Basic algebras (or lattices with section antitone involutions) turned out to be appropriate structures when axiomatizing both many-valued and quantum logics, see e.g. . The aim of the present paper is to describe the variety of basic algebras generated by MV-chains and horizontal sums of three-element chain basic algebras.
