Abstract :
Abstract
The aim of then present research is to examine the relationship of the emotional intelligence and Self-esteem with religious attitudes among the students. The research population includes all the male and female students of different majors at the Islamic Azad University, Ghorveh branch, in the educational year of 2012-2013. The sample size of 100 was selected using the simple random sampling method. The tools to measure the scale of studentsʹ religious attitudes were Krishnaraj and Balasubramaniam (RASUS), the Bar-on emotional intelligence and the Cooper-Smith questionnaire self-esteem. The current research method was of correlation type that is placed in the area of applied research. To analyze the data, the Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression as well as independent T were applied. Findings revealed that there is a significant and positive relationship between the emotional intelligence and Self-esteem with religious attitudes of the students. Also, the findings indicated that there is no significant difference with respect to the emotional intelligence and Self-esteem between boys and girls while there was a difference with respect to the religious attitudes among the two groups.
