Abstract :
Objective: In this study we investigated the effect of goal Orientation training on
the hope of first-grade female students of high schools in Tehran. Method: Sixty
students were selected using a multistep cluster sampling method. Tool of study
was the Snyder’s Hope measure. The experimental group was received the goal
Orientation training in 10 sessions. Results: Data was analyzed based on the
analysis of covariance and results revealed that the hope of students who received
goal Orientation training was significantly higher than hope of students who did
not. This was the case for agency component. But for the pathway component no
significant effect was observed. Conclusion: Goal Orientation training is effective
in increasing students hope.
