Epoxidation of Propylene on NaCl-Modified VCe1-x Cux Oxide Catalysts with Direct Molecular Oxygen as the Oxidant

NaCl-modified VCexCu1-x mixed oxide catalysts were found to be effective for propylene epoxidation using molecular oxygen as the oxidant. Hydrogen addition in the feedstock can significantly enhance the PO selectivity and the stability of the catalyst. XPS results also show that Cu0 may be the active phase for epoxidation.
