Abstract :
A two-factor study was conducted in the years 2007–2009, which included different technologies of cultivation of two varieties of edible lentil – Anita and Tina. The study showed a significant effect of the weather conditions and method of cultivation technology on the total protein content in dry matter of both lentil varieties. The highest content of total seeds protein of the lentil varieties was recorded in the second year of cultivation, which was characterized by a deficiency of precipitation and air temperature higher than the average temperature of several years. The highest yield of total protein from 1 ha was obtained in the cultivation of the variety Anita, where the high-volume technology was used, and the lowest in the cultivation of the variety Tina, where low-input technology was used. The study showed no significant differences between the varieties in the total protein content in dry weight of seeds.
