A Method for Shimming a Permanent Magnet With FEA Original Research Article

By the use of the FEA (Finite Element Analysis) calculating program, the effects caused by mechanical adjustments and shimming pieces are studied via simulating calculation. With help of the study, the homogeneity of magnetic field, produced by a prototype of magnet assembly, is brought to an acceptable level in a short time.
