Abstract :
The aim of this study was to study of the differences between cigarette smokers and
non-cigarette smokers students in coping sterategies.The model of this research was
correlation. The sample included sixty (30 cigarette smokers, 30 non cigarette
smokers) that all were accessibility selected from azad university of Semnan. All
participants completed Lazzarus index of coping strategies .The results of the study
showed that there is a significant deference between cigarette smokers and noncigarette
smokers in Problem-Focused style of coping strategies. Also there is not a
significant deference between cigarette smokers and non-cigarette smokers in
Emotion-Focused style of coping strategies. The results of the study showed that
depriving from Problem-Focused style of coping strategies may be a potential
correlated of cigarette smoking. And we can improve this style of coping strategies
with some educations as problem solving.
