Abstract :
This study aims to compare teaching skills, communicative skills, and experiences of faculty members with scores above and below evaluation mean of students in Tabriz University. This study is casual-comparative using descriptive methods. Statistical population includes 342 teachers of arts, basic sciences, and technical-engineering departments in first university half year of 2011-2012.To select sample, Morgan Table was used. Seventy one respondents from arts, 52 respondents from basic sciences, and 63 respondents from technical-engineering departments were selected by multistep random sampling. To gathered data, a researcher-made questionnaire was used with 5point Likert scale including 37 questions for measuring variables.To analyzed data, MANOVA test, multivariable variance analysis, and independent t-test were used. Based on the results, there was a significant difference between teaching skills, communicative skills, and experiences of teachers with scores above and below evaluation mean of students. Mean score of teachers above evaluation mean of students was higher than mean score of teachers below evaluation mean of students. According to MANOVA test results, the difference between teachers in two groups regarding teaching skills was insignificant; but it was significant regarding communicative skills and teachersʹ experiences among teachers of Arts, Basic Sciences, and Technical engineering departments.
