Abstract
LiCeO2 was prepared by a solid-state reaction method using microwave heat treatment and identified by X-ray diffractometry. LiCeO2 has monoclinic crystal structure whose conductivity and dielectric properties were studied over a range of frequency (42 Hz to 1 MHz) and temperatures (30–500 °C) using ac technique of complex impedance analyzer HIOKI 3532. Combined impedance and modulus plots were used as tools to analyze the sample behaviour as a function of frequency at different temperatures. The d.c. conductivity (σdc) followed the Arrhenius relation. The modulus analysis and dielectrics studies showed the non-Debye dielectric relaxation nature.
