The Origins of Allostery: From Personal Memories to Material for the Future Review Article

This introductory text evokes personal memories about the origins and definition of the word allosteric that is meant to qualify an “indirect” interaction between topographically and stereospecifically distinct sites, mediated by a discrete and reversible conformational change of the protein.
