Abstract :
Absorption, time-resolved emission spectra and decay times of LaAlO3 :Eu3+ are shown. It was found that LaAlO3:Eu3+ crystal exhibits very efficient emission. Observed peaks were assigned to the 5D3,2,1,0→7FJ transitions. The strongest emission is observed from the 5D0 level to the 7F1, 2, 4 levels. Decay time of the 5D0 emission was 2.44 ms at 4.5 K and weakly depends on temperature. Decay time of the 5D1 and 5D2 level is short and strongly depends on temperature. Energy levels of Eu3+ in LaAlO3 were assigned.
