Abstract
We have studied magneto-photoluminescence (PL) spectra of a single carbon nanotube at low temperatures. A single PL peak arising from optically allowed (bright) exciton state was observed under the zero-magnetic field, and an additional PL peak from optically forbidden (dark) exciton state was enhanced with increasing the magnetic field. Excitons populate in the lower dark state at low temperatures, and the optically forbidden transition is observed due to the Aharonov–Bohm effect.
