Properties of transmission of electron in coupled rings

The electron transport properties of a new crossed double quantum rings are investigated using the quantum waveguide theory. We find that the persistent current, which is a pure quantum effect, can be produced by a transport current, even in the absence of magnetic field. The persistent current can be observed if one tunes the Fermi energy near the resonance (anti-resonance) or the Fano resonance apex of the transport current.
