Optical properties of Eu, Dy, Mn activated M2SiO4, (M2=Ca, Sr, Zn) orthosilicate phosphors

This paper reports the preparation of alkaline orthosilicate phosphors M2SiO4, (M2=Ca, Sr, Zn) activated with suitable dopants (Eu, Dy, Mn) by a modified solid state synthesis method. XRD and photoluminescence characterization of these phosphors have been studied. It is suggested that these phosphors may be useful for applications like solid state lighting.
