Abstract :
The spectroscopic properties of NaF:U bulk and fiber single crystals in the region 1.95–25 eV have been studied under the synchrotron radiation excitation at 8.5 K. Excitation and emission spectra have been recorded. In the emission spectra of NaF:U bulk and fiber crystals at least three new U6+ sets of luminescence lines have been analyzed and discussed in addition to known (Feofilov–Kaplyanskii) ‘magnetic’ and ‘electric’ U6+ sets of lines. Some peculiarities in luminescence spectra of NaF:U fiber crystals have been found and discussed.
