Abstract :
Chemiluminescence (CL) in the system containing inorganic compounds such as Eu(III), Tb(III) ions, hydrogen peroxide in presence or absence of molybdate or tungstate or phosphate ions in basic solution (~0.1 mol L−1 NaOH) has been studied. The kinetic curves of CL decay and CL spectral distributions were obtained. On the basis of differences in CL intensity and its duration, as well as characteristics of CL spectra, the important role of the peroxide compound of the lanthanide molybdates or tungstates and H2O2 formed in the systems studied was proposed. A linear correlation between the CL intensity of the Eu(OH)3–Tb(OH)3–H2O2 and the concentrations of terbium(III) ions was observed.
