Protection against the harmful effects, damages and fires of electrostatic phenomena both in the nature and many industries has been a real challenge for mankind. To avoid the disturbances caused by static electricity and the industrial use of electrostatics became more and more important. However both the frightening effects and the damages have been typical in the macroworld, because of the determinant rule of static forces the importance of static electricity will show a special increase in the micro- and nanoworld. The paper gives practical examples for solutions (based on fuzzy logic in prevention of electrostatic hazards, in electrostatic precipitation and lightning protection) in the past, present and future.
