Abstract
This paper presents an optical emission spectroscopy (OES) method for measuring the distribution of energetic electrons in multi-needle-to-plate corona discharge. The intensity of N2 second positive band peak ISPB in the discharge gap was detected, and the morphology of the ionization region was determined. The results showed that the sum of ISPB in the ionization region was approximately linear in the discharge current I and the total number of energetic electrons n. Meanwhile, according to the relationship between the velocity of energetic electron v and the value of E/p in the corona discharge, n was determined at different applied voltages U. Finally, according to the spatial distribution of ISPB in the ionization region, the relative density distribution of the energetic electrons was determined.
