Vibration of collecting electrodes in electrostatic precipitators – Modelling, measurements and simulation tests

The paper presents a numerical model for simulating the vibration of collecting electrodes in an electrostatic precipitator. The method of finite elements (FEM) was used to describe the shell elements of the collecting electrodes. The remaining elements of the system were modelled with the application of the rigid finite elements method (RFEM). The results of measuring validation and testing calculations are discussed.
