Abstract :
Commercially pure titanium disks as-received and heat treated at 600 °C in air for 10 min were used to investigate differences in calcium phosphate forming ability. X-ray diffraction, field emission–scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry were used to collect information on surface properties. Sample with an amorphous TiO2 layer after heat treatment showed high CaP forming ability.
