Abstract :
The object of considerations is a multilayered composite, made of two components non-periodically distributed as microlaminas along one direction. Macroscopic properties of this composite are assumed to be continuously varied across laminas. The aim of this note is to propose two models of thermoelasticity problems: the tolerance model, taking into account the effect of the microstructure size on the overall behaviour of these composites, and the asymptotic model, neglecting this effect. The governing equations of both the models are derived by using averaging procedures presented in the book edited by Cz. Woźniak et al. , i.e. the tolerance modelling and the consistent asymptotic modelling.
