Abstract :
Hydrothermally grown ZnO nanowires are usually deposited using an equimolar solution of zinc nitrate:hexamine. This study aims to investigate the effects of zinc nitrate:hexamine concentration on the optoelectronic and structural properties of the ZnO nanowires. The resultant ZnO nanomaterials were extensively characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, UV–vis spectroscopy and electrical measurements. It was found that zinc nitrate:hexamine strongly affected the subsequent optoelectronic properties of the deposited ZnO nanowires.
