Abstract :
Effect of strontium substitution on microwave dielectric behavior and sintering conditions of Ca0.4Sm0.4TiO3 (0.01≤x≤0.1) ceramics were investigated. The sintering temperature was significantly lowered from 1450 °C for pure Ca0.4Sm0.4TiO3 to 1370 °C for x>0.03. Notably the dielectric constant of (Ca0.4−xSrx)Sm0.4TiO3 ceramics also improved with increasing x content and the Qf value also remained over 10,000 GHz with 0.01≤x≤0.1. The resultant dielectric properties have made Ca0.4Sm0.4TiO3 ceramics as very interesting materials for microwave communication and passive component applications.
