Abstract
Plant stress uncoupling protein CSP 310 has been found to be associated with isolated winter wheat mitochondria during incubation in vitro at 0°C for 30 min. Pronase E treatment shows that this protein is localised outside of the mitochondria. It was found that CSP 310 is associated with mitochondria inactivated by CCCP and KCN. Electrophoresis of native proteins shows that if the native form of CSP 310 is associated with intact mitochondria then CSP 310, after its dissociation to 66 and 56kDa subunits, is associated with mitochondria inactivated by CCCP and KCN.
