Abstract
A study of the DNA cleavage efficiency and selectivity of CDPI,-EDTA (4), an affinity cleavage agent based on the structure of CC-1065, is described. The studies with 4 provide direct evidence of AT-rich noncovalent binding coincidental with all DNA alkylation sites observed with (+)- or ent-(−)-CC-1065.
