Abstract :
Reflectivity measurements of superionic conductors Li1−xNi1+xO2 (x=0.01, 0.05 and 0.11), which are the promising candidate for the positive electrode material of 4 V rechargeable lithium batteries, have been performed in the millimeter wave region from 6 to 60 cm−1 using the electron storage ring facilities of Institute of Molecular Science in Okazaki. Although the increase of the reflectivity was observed in the low wavenumber region above 300 K for all substances, it turned out that the increase of the reflectivity was sharp for x=0.01 substance. The results will be discussed in connection with the electronic and magnetic properties of Li1−xNi1+xO2 (x=0.01, 0.05 and 0.11).
