Abstract :
The mechanism of the EPR line shift observed in some sp2-bonded carbon materials is discussed. An additional factor containing the carriersʹ concentration and their effective mass is included in g-factor, the aim being to link together the g-factor anisotropy observed in graphite with presence of the charge carriers. Good agreement with the experimental data obtained for graphite is shown. Effective masses for the carriers in graphite intercalation compounds (GIC) are calculated on the base of the g-factor values obtained from EPR measurements.
