Abstract :
The present study highlights the physicochemical characteristics of two fluorinated graphites. These compounds were prepared at room temperature in an atmosphere of F2, HF, and chlorine, obtained using either Cl2 gas or heated potassium chloride, and have the same fluorination level CF0.4; treatments under fluorine at temperatures higher than 400 °C allow an increase in fluorination level up to CF1. NMR and EPR measurements show the influence of two preparation modes on catalytic residues and structural defects.
