Abstract :
Reported is a mixed-valence VIV/VV tetrametallate cluster, which is charge neutral and stable in solution. The complex is characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, IR and UV–VIS–NIR absorption spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, room temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements and quantum chemical calculations.
