Synthesis of aminocyclopentadienyl ruthenium chloride

The reaction of Ru3(CO)12 with N-isopropyl-2,3,4,5-tetrabutylcyclopenta-2,4-dienimine led to the formation of [2,3,4,5-Bu4(η5-C4CNHiPr)]Ru(CO)2Cl. The new complex has been characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR and mass spectral data.
