Abstract :
The synthesis and characterization of a new Ph3Sn(IV) derivative of thymidine are reported. The polyhedron around tin is trigonal bipyramidal in the solid-state with three phenyl groups in the equatorial positions, while the axial positions are occupied by 3′(O) and 2(O) of two thymidine. Ph3Sn(Thy) exhibited moderate anti-inflammatory and insignificant cardiovascular activity.
