Abstract
A novel one-dimensional zigzag lanthanopolyoxotungstoborate, H2(NH4)10[Ce2(BW11O39)2(H2O)6] · 21H2O, was synthesised under ambient conditions. It is the first example of a one-dimensional polymer where Keggin-type anions containing a central boron atom are bridged by Ce3+ cations.
