Abstract :
(H2NCH2CH2NH2)0.5MnSeO3 displays a hybrid structure in which the ethylenediamine acts as a pillar, linking inorganic sheets built up from edge and vertex-sharing MnO5N octahedra and SeO3 pyramids. The high-spin Mn2+ cations order antiferromagnetically at 18 K.
