Synthesis of decamethyltitanocene alkyne complexes and molecular structure of the diphenylacetylene complex image

Stable complexes image (R = Ph (2), Et (7)) were obtained in high yield by the reduction of image with magnesium in the presence of the corresponding alkyne, whereas the structure of image (2) was confirmed by X-ray studies for the first time.
