Abstract :
A novel Coordination polymer, [{Er4(μ3-OH)4 (bpdc)4(H2O)6}2] (H2O)16.5 (1) was obtained by hydrothermal reaction. The cubane-like [Er4(μ3-OH)4]8+ as building block, it was further assembled into two-dimensional network structure through the linkage of 2,2′-bipyridine-3,3′-dicarboxylate (bpdc) with four different coordination modes. The magnetic property of the compound was discussed further.
