Abstract :
Two new configurational isomers of 1-D anionic Mo(W)/S/Ag clusters with strong third-order optical nonlinearities were synthesized by taking advantage of structure-inductive effects from coexisting cations and anions in reaction systems. The driving force responsible for the isomerism has been examined.
