Abstract :
A novel Keggin unit supported transition metal complex [Cu(4,4′-bipy)]2[SiW12O40{Cu(4,4′-bipy)}4] · (OH)2 · H2O (1) (4,4′-bipy = 4,4′-bipydine) has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by IR spectroscopy, TG analyses and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The result of the X-ray crystallography analysis exhibits that four image chains simultaneously connect with the [SiW12O40]4− units via W–Ot–Cu bridges constructing an infinitely one-dimensional fourfold-chain structure.
