Abstract
Phenyl migration and oxidative addition were observed in nitromethane containing solutions of trans-[RhCl(CO)(SbPh3)n] (n = 2 or 3) and free SbPh3. A Rh(III) product resulting from phenyl migration and oxidative addition to Rh(I), trans-mer-[Rh(Cl)2(Ph)(SbPh3)3], was characterised by X-ray crystallography.
