Abstract :
A new 1D ladder-like chain, {[Ag2(aptr)2](SiF6)}n · 5nH2O (aptr = 4-amino-3-(pyrid-4-yl)-1,2,4-triazole), was synthesized with structure and fluorescence characterized. The skeleton chain based on a fundamental repeating unit [Ag(aptr)] comprises of two kinds of 6- and 14-membered rings. The overlapping of two sets of ladders along the a + b and a − b vectors produces elliptic channels with image anchoring in. A 3D supramolecular architecture is formed by hydrogen bondings between image and aptr. Three lattice water molecules are connected into a water chain through the hydrogen bondings among them.
