Abstract :
A rich antimony polyoxoanion [Mo4Sb6(OH)12O24]6− was crystallized as potassium salt in neutral aqueous solution and characterized by IR, UV–vis spectra, CVs and single crystal X-ray diffraction. X-ray structural analysis shows that the polyanion [Mo4Sb6(OH)12O24]6− has S4 molecular symmetry and a ellipsoid-shape structure built of an unusual [Sb6O16(OH)12] framework capped with four segregated {MoO2} groups.
