Abstract
By parallel hydrothermal reactions of 2,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (2,5-H2Pdc) and 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (2,6-H2Pdc) with 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethyl-4,4′-bipyrazole (Bpz) and ZnSO4 · 7H2O, two novel zinc coordination polymers, [Zn(Bpz)(2,5-Pdc)]n (1) and [Zn2(Bpz)(2,6-Pdc)2]n (2), which contain in situ formed [Zn(Pdc)]n helices as building blocks and exhibit photoluminescent at room temperature, were synthesized respectively.
