Direct synthesis of Co/Mn complex with Co-semisepulchrate entity

A novel compound [CoL][Mn(ox)2]Cl·3H2O [L – N(CH2NHC2H4NH2)3, tris(((aminoethyl)amino)methyl)amine] (1), has been synthesized and structurally characterized. The compound 1 represents a new and rare example constructed by 1D polymeric image anions and semisepulchrate [CoIIIL]3+ cations. An efficient and simple procedure for the synthesis of 1 has been proposed. The advantages of this procedure include: one pot reaction, good efficiency and easily available starting materials.
