Abstract :
Two bis-axially coordinated iron phthalocyanines, bis-[3-aminopyridine] phthalocyaninatoiron (3-ampyFePc) and bis-[4-aminopyridine] phthalocyaninatoiron (4-ampyFePc), were synthesized and characterized. The intermolecular π–π intereactions are investigated from the crystal structures and related to the λmax of UV/vis diffuse reflectance spectra (UV/vis DRS).
